Apparently Windows 8 is really inexpensive to upgrade to right now (only $40). This is a great move on Microsoft's part. Windows 8 is faster and more advanced than 7 and really works to blur the lines between desktops, laptops, and even tablets giving the same experience across all three with touch capability limited to your hardware.
One interesting thing you'll notice when you upgrade however, is the lack of google chrome, and a lack of a way to get to the google search engine easily.
